The Heart of Steel is ready!

The long wait is almost over! Thanks to the generous support of  three Sheffield companies, Maher Ltd, Doncasters Group Ltd, and Pryor Marking Tecknology, the long anticipated Heart of Steel sculpture has now been built and will be unveiled at Meadowhall in Sheffield, along with a scaled version of the Steel Man sculpture. A huge effort has been made by a generous group of companies and individuals dedicated to bringing the Heart of Steel to fruition. Soon you will be able to see the results of their efforts when its unveiled later this month!

The Heart is made from Inconel, a super alloy normally seen in high performance engine parts used in the aerospace industry and Formula One. An amazing team of  designers, production programmers and skilled fabricators at Maher Limited and Doncasters have crafted this special material to build the Heart of Steel first drawn up by artist Steve Mehdi in 2012.
