Thanks to the generous support of three Sheffield companies, Maher Ltd, Doncasters Group Ltd, and Pryor Marking Tecknology, the long anticipated Heart of Steel sculpture has now been built and will be unveiled in Sheffield this Spring, along with a scaled version of the Steel Man sculpture.
The Heart is made from Inconel, a super alloy normally seen in high performance engine parts used in the aerospace industry and Formula One. Now an amazing team of designers, production programmers and skilled fabricators at Doncasters have crafted this special material to build the Heart first drawn up by artist Steve Mehdi in 2012.
