Interpretation Hub update

Since January we’ve been working with our Heritage Lottery funded team to develop a truly inspirational building where visitors of all ages will be able to explore the heritage of our region and how it connects with the present and the future. Last month we launched a competition to find an architect to help make it a reality. The results have been amazing and next month you’ll be able to find out where you can see the final designs. The team have continued to broaden the project and visited  other visitor attractions, such as the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the National Coal Mining Museum. They have also engaged with local Societies and Groups with connections to steel and coal.

You’ll be able to find out what they’ve been up to when we announce more details in the local press,  where you can see the designs for the Interpretation Hub and meet the team behind it.
